Watching over the Grand Lobby of the Valentine Theatre are 47 caricatured actors, singers, musicians, and dancers roguishly grinning as they pose and perform on a massive 10 feet tall by 69 feet wide mural.
Unveiled in 2003 and painstakingly researched and painted by local artist Paul Geiger, the mural, called “Backstage at the Valentine," pays tribute to legendary artists who performed at the venue between 1895 and 1917. It is the biggest indoor mural in Toledo.
